Infrastructure and Resource Support
We work with early childhood development (ECD) centres and support them with the changes needed to create warm and welcoming spaces that encourage learning.

Education, especially early childhood education, is the key to transformation and a better future. Samara Foundation works in rural, under-resourced communities in the Eastern Cape, one of South Africa’s poorest provinces, and through developing and supporting education plants the seeds of change.
In areas where access to services, resources and opportunities is limited, Samara Foundation does the following:
Meet the educators that work hard every day to give children safe, loving spaces where they can develop and learn – and have better futures.
Through infrastructure and resource support, capacity building and training, we work to change the quality of education in rural communities, especially for children in their earliest years, where it all starts.

To achieve lasting change at the ECD centres, we work with the ECD carers and make sure they have the skills to run a quality daily programme as well as manage their centres.
We partnered on the international fundraiser, Africa Run, which raises once-off funds for a deserving school which is invested into infrastructure, resources and student and teacher development.
Through focusing on both immediate needs, such as infrastructure and resources, as well as building on the potential held within the community and its individuals through training, the seeds of change are sown.
